King of Mary

Eh Team member King Brian ripped it up on Maryhill this past weekend.  A helicopter followed him.

 
The pilot was fully into it and had figured out his pacing. We ripped back up top and proceeded to follow Deano and “King” Brian down a couple solo runs. It was so fun chasing those dudes down the smooth curvatures of Maryhill. At one point Louis says to the pilot: “Hey, let’s scare this guy!” So we skim just above “King” Brian’s head. If he would have been a wild Zebra and I’d of  had a tranquilizer gun, I couldn’t have missed the sonofabitch. Anyway, coming in so low didn’t bother him one bit—he just got even more excited; he gave us a wave and railed the corners even harder—it was so epic!

The Movement in Orange County

The Movement in Orange county is doing some great things for the local longboarding scene...check out their thursday LFC (Longboard Fiesta Championships) rides.  Here is some info directly from the shop...

Come ride at The Movement (117 E Chapman ave, Orange, CA 92866) every Thursday at 6:45pm. Carpool up to some local hills and put our gloves to the pavement. Our goal as LFC is to find a new hill each week and have at least one new member. Our group runs on pure stoke and we are always pushing each others progress. We have a pretty wide variety of longboarders from beginners to more experienced riders who are always willing to help out with technique or advice on grip tape designs. Click on the stores Facebook page,The Movement to follow the progress of the group. If you live in Southern California and want to skate on a Thursday night come check it out.

The elusive Wolf Shark in its natural habitat

If you encounter a Wolf Shark DO NOT turn your back to it...it will attack.  Drop all your food, make yourself look as big as possible and back away slowly.  Remember you are far more afraid of the Wolf Shark than it is of you.
