It's Official...Mike McGoldrick's New Graphic

SO SICK...Today we got a sample of the graphic for Mike's new board. It looks unreal and is true to Mike's style. We contacted Mike over in Portugal to ask him about which name he liked best between Gold Digger and 9 two 5. He really likes the 9 two 5 which fits well with the graphic i would say. So here it is; the new graphic and the name, all that's left is putting it onto wood. Watch for the Pro Model 9 two 5 to drop mid February.

Backpacks new board...

Custom boards are way better than doggy treats and long walks. This one is extra special because it's a labor of love. If you've called the shop in the past few months you've probably spoke with Andrew or Pants as we affectionately call him here at the shop. He hand drew the graphic on this cut down Drop Speed or Chop Speed as it is referred to in the wood shop. You maybe wondering why the board says "backpack" on it...well that's because its a present for his girlfriend Brittany or Backpack for short. If you call the shop from now on chances are she'll be the on picking up that phone. Nice work Pants, the board looks so sick!

Greg is the Man

...That handles all the purchasing over here at the factory. He manages the inventory and has recently been involved in most of the graphic design work here at Landyachtz. When Greg isn't working he is out exploring South East Asia and drinking whiskey that's been bottled with a snake in it. He's also been shredding the winter away on his snowboard and is better than you at anything computer related. Greg is also a rock star and has played/ripped it up on the Vans Warped Tour stage here in Vancouver.

Name that Board...

Well the polls have closed and its a close one. We haven't forgotten to announce the official winner yet because Mike McGoldrick is in Poland right now. We have sent him an email letting him know that 9 two 5 and Gold Digger were both really close. Once he gets back to us on the one HE likes the best we'll let everyone know. So check your damn email man. Cool cool, thanks for voting...this board is gonna be SICK!!! Woof Woof

This lady may be righteously crazy, but she deffinetly knows how to give a kitty rubdown. Take notes kids, and don't forget to practice on me next time you're in the seconds shop.

Who is Mike McGoldrick?

He's that guy running down the alley with a chainsaw. He skates faster then you, and is always sliding farther then we thought was possible. He likes electro music, and updates the What's New page on Coastlongboarding. But most importantly, he always gives me a scratch behind the ear whenever he comes into the factory. You can catch him ripping it up in Episode 7 of the The Eh Team videos. He's also the one behind the latest board that Landyachtz is developing. VOTE IN THE POLL TO THE RIGHT, for the name you think best represents this man's new board, a tweaked version of the ever popular Drop Speed.

Digging in the New Year

I spent January First digging through some photo's on the server and found some much higher quality photo's of the Dogfish Evo. Meow that's craftsmanship! Even though cats don't celebrate the new year... (we work on a different calendar)Happy New Years to all you humans out there.

Green Like Limes

... is a very strange name for a human. I mean a cat maybe, but a person? I've also heard him referred to as Phillip Lemire, which might mean the other name is a nickname... but really who knows. He's got a moustache like no other, and truthfully it makes me a little nervous that a man could have such a serious lack of upper lip. And the winner is...

Mischo Erban. After a full season of head to head competition with last years IGSA champ Scoot Smith, Mischo came out on top to clinch the title of World Cup Series Champion with his win at Hot Heels Africa on December 13th. Meow if that's not lucky... then it must be all skill.
