Green Pastures : Landscape
The crew of nine skateboarders plus the six videographers were really beginning to hit our stride at this point of the trip. We were figuring out each others riding styles in and out of the van and really starting to work well and connect with the film makers. It wasn't always easy, but there was never a dull moment, and in every good road trip a little bit of conflict is inevitable. Skateboarders typically posses strong personalities, it comes with the territory, when you throw nine of us in a confined space for an extended period of time with 400 warm Czech tall boys and a handful of European Vice magazines, hi jinx abound, feathers get ruffled and lifelong friendships are forged. Working on the Greener Pastures mission was one of the greatest skate adventures of my life to date. The opportunity to experience different cultures and push my personal limits on incredible mountain roads with like minded individuals is something that only a handful of lucky people ever get to do. I am forever indebted to Landyachtz skateboards and everybody who has ever helped to grow the downhill skateboarding community through participating in this perfect mode of transportation, thrill seeking and expression.
Thank you for watching! - Kyle Martin

Despite efforts to slow down Dos Loco... she won't be stopped.
Unless of course the crew stops her at your shop or school.
If they do, be sure to show them your steepest hills and finest brew.
Hey Cliff, is that a copy of the Constitution in your pocket?

Teutonia is a beast
Malararra Pro Teutonia is its own type of animal. Lost somewhere in the hills of southern Brazil lies this beast of a road that many of the fastest skateboarders on this planet have `found their limit` on. It is not a limit that defines them as incapable, it is a limit that proves to these experienced riders that hills still exist beyond their natural capability on the first, second, third, even fourth run and beyond. If your looking for the comparison, the proof lies in how common it is these days for traveling riders to show up to a hill for the first time and skate it as if they had been skating it the longest of any, qualifying at the top of their brackets above almost all without much but a practice run or two to see the road before hand. This time it was a little different though, not just for the EH TEAM, but for any popular pro who was experiencing this `drop in`for the first time as well. Nervous may not be the right word, nor excited or scared; but the feeling in your stomach in combination with the words in your head at the top of the hill for the first time was an experience most had been without for a long time.
When many speak of Teutonia, they speak of the extremely steep and visually stunning straight away that makes up the bottom section of this notorious race track, but what they rarely speak about and what comes as a complete shocker once you actually get there is the top section leading you into that famous straight. Not nearly as steep but tenfold rough; the top section is fast, sweepy and sketchy as all hell with uneven pavement, bumps, patches and a bitch of a yellow line running through it. On this section of road riders have their primary draft battle, fighting their boards underneath them and drag racing each other in pairings of two as they jockey for the lead position or an extremely tight desired 2nd. Going anything but slow into a left hand turn, you round the corner to the sight of a blind right bend approaching what you know is the infamous 15%+ straight away, a straight away that consists of one clear line, some absolutely threatening pass options and speeds well in excess of 110Km/h.

Going down this hill is almost, but not quite indescribable. Paved over top a soft earth beneath, you rise and you fall and then you rise and you fall as you once again battle that bitch of a yellow line and the vessel beneath your feet in between it. Adjusting your front foot and confirming your back rail, you tell yourself you are fine and trust that the blind right will open up as you split a lane moving towards the hay bails, and this point traveling at around 100km/h; 100km/h quickly becomes old news though as you feel yourself reach a solid 110. Reminding your conscience once again that you are fine, you continue on. Life blisters past you as people on the road scatter out of the way, on the road and excited from the previous heat they are now rapidly trying to seek sanctuary behind the hay bails that will do little to protect anyone if you let your confidence slip for even a moment. You are fine, you are going to be okay. As your stomach drops leaving the last roller in your past, the fastest are traveling at least 115. With the finish line finally in reach, you pass it so fast that you stand, finally becoming aware of how hot your feet are from the vibrations of the road below.

The Girls are Killin it down south
On Wesnesday, Skatie Katie hit the local hills of Lima, Peru to host a ladies ride clinic with fellow Daddies teammate, Marisa Nunez. The local girls are steadily growing in numbers and while they are progressing fine on their own, it was a great time for them to get some techniques demonstrated by the top female rider in the World. After a 15 or 20 minute sit down where the girls went over safety and decision making...Katie hit the pavement full tilt demonstrating high speed Coleman slides, heel side and toe side pre-drifts, stand up slides and a lesson on exactly what hitting the apex means. The girls walked away with a mass variety of prizes and a new stoke for what is possible on board!!! What a day!!!

Euro Tour : Germany
After spending a week in Czech Republic, Eh Team riders Andrew Chapman and Katie Neilson packed a rental full of their skate gear and hit the road back to Germany for the 3rd stop on the world cup tour, Insul Cup. Insul has a fast top section followed by a middle section of hairpins that really kept riders on edge all weekend. Used to the banked, accelerating hairpins of North America, it was a task all weekend for the riders to slow down enough to not loose traction in the flat turns found in front of them. Dispite the difficulty, Andrew qualified 3rd of over 130 riders and Katie once again had the womens’ field in her rear view, this time by 7 seconds in qualifying rounds. Katie was the only Girl to get into the open class, and although she didn’t end up making it through many rounds there, she killed the competition in her womens heats to come out on top with her 3rd world cup win of the season. On the mens side, Chapman was doing very well and set to move on towards the final rounds when an issue with a rider in front of him caused things to go a little wrong and put him on the sidelines for the rest of the day. Over all the event was a success and the two of them will now be trekking their way through the French alps en route to Teolo, Italy for the 4th stop on the tour.

Euro Tour : Prague
Well, well, well… Looks like Andrew, Katie and Kyle have made their way to Prague! Surrounded by Medieval Castles, unbelievable stone carvings, epic rooftops and sculptures possessing every character; the group has joined car mates Scoot and James for a tourist day filled with eye opening adventures amongst one of the oldest Cities in the World! Finally experiencing first hand that other languages exist and that buildings are regularly older than 150 years old, we are excited to help these deserving young North Americans develop and grow into even faster, more grounded riders with a thirst to see the World. Next stop, Germany!
