Dan is the Man

Dan works in the wood shop sanding, drilling and sometimes CNCing your favorite boards. He stands at 7.2 feet short and towers over everyone at the shop. Dan is a walking musical library and has an answer for every musical question you may have. His favorite artist is Banksy and for some reason he enjoys eating at the Truck Stop. If you see dan strolling around town give him a Giant sized High Five. Woof

Ryan seems....

to be having hair trouble... Poor Ryan.

Sean Builds boards

Sean does some amazing work with wood and carbon fiber. He builds the carbon boards boards that win races left right and center and also makes his own crazy custom rides. This board is a unique shape with one of the cleanest glass jobs i have ever seen...any puppy would be proud to chew on this stick. He looks so happy pushing this board around in a shopping cart...looks like a familiar cart to me.

But Mom...

... I don't want to stop peeing on the wheels. This is Blake (AKA: MOM), whether it be making it to skate sessions on time, ensuring the Van has had it's regular scheduled maintenance, or just making sure the whole team remembered to put on clean underwear. Nobody does it like Mom does. Meow go clean my kitty litter... please.

Crop Circle Drop Speed

Custom Boards kick ass and I love seeing new ideas come to life. This board has a really cool grip job with crazy circles done on a custom painted red top. Simple, clean and an effective use of grip and negative space... This Dog Digs.

The High Level Downhill...

... is a race going down this weekend in Edmonton. It's being put on by Local 124 and all the info you need can be found ---> HERE
Check out the prize boards that I found photos of Sean working on.

Sun stroke and sneaking about...

It was a hot one here in Vancouver this past weekend. So sunny that I burned my little paws on a hot tin roof. Keyboards are difficult enough to use for a cat, let alone a cat with singed paws. But I took this time away for the computer to catch up on my snooping. What do you think this is?

My new cat friendly pro model maybe?

Hey it's LIAM

Liam can be described to a tee in two words..."free spirit". The last thing I heard him say before typing this out with my paws was "i am but a leaf blowing in the wind"...enough said. Liam lives at the Stoop in East Van where everyone is welcomed with open arms, even dogs like myself. He skis in the winter, he skates with briefcases and sunglasses are always on his face, along with an ear to ear grin...under his Jesus like beard that is. If you spot him regulating stop and say hey, i'm sure you'll learn something interesting and leave the conversation happier than when you started it. He'll probably give you a sticker too.

Reese's peaces

It's turning into a Animal shelter at Landyachtz and now there's another hound to help me gang up against the Cat. Meet Reese, she's a timid girl with a whole lot of attitude. She hangs out up stairs with the Office staff and makes her presence known by barking every time an unfamiliar face appears. Gerrrr

Custom boards are the BOMB

Thanks to Justus for send in these custom Drop Speed photos. The board looks really nice and if i could ride a skateboard i would want to ride that one. I may even lift a leg and claim it as my own however these humans just don't understand how us K-9s work. Anyway thanks for the photos Justus and don't worry, i have instilled fear into the heart of Cat and pretty much run the show around here now. WOOF WOOF

Introducing ...

Andy. AKA: Pom. He's been working here for a number of months now, and even though it takes him at least half an hour to figure out where he is in the morning, us animals don't judge. It can take me all day to wake up from my nap, so hey, whatever. Pom seems to like me, but I'm not sure if that's cause he's looking for a snack for his Boa Constrictor or not ... he really might be more of a dog person.

Sticker Ninja

Humans are always looking for clever places to put up stickers and hide them all around town. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden Landyachtz stickers around Vancouver. Pop by the shop if you want to get in on some sneaky Ninja Style Sticker action and we'll hook you up with a fat stack to plaster in any creative spot you find. If you are an out of towner (who lives in Canada) send us a self addressed stamped envelope and we'll send you some ammo to cover your home town. If you're from somewhere other than Canada, send us 2-3 American dollar bills, and we'll take care of the rest. If you spot, or make your own stealth sicker bomb, snap a pic and email it to and if its sweet enough i'll post it on the blog.

9th Annual Seawall Cruise

This Sunday afternoon at 4:20pm (what an odd meeting time) many longboarders will be meeting at the Big tree, where i like to mark my territory, at Beach and Thurlow. The humans are getting really excited about this one...I hear hundreds are planning on showing up and pushing these longboard devices around in a big circle. I'm wagging my tail for it and hope my best friend will take me with him so I can get some exercise and love....Come join us and if you see me give me a scratch and a rub.
