The Colombian Connection... Hugh updates us...

Team riders Dillon and Hugh owned Colombia this past weekend with Dillon taking 1st and Hugh taking 3rd.  Fellow Canadian Patrick Switzer finished off the canadian sweep in second.  Check out what Hugh had to say over Facebook with team manager Blake...

(Blake) Hows the skateing been?
(Hugh) Pavement here is really sticky, not the best for free-riding
but the city was built randomly with no plans so the roads just go fu*king all over the place, twisty turny drops like nothing ive seen before the whole thing has been a very seminal experience the potential here is amazing but its only this one kid who is fully realizing it, child leading the masses
well hopefully you two being there will change that
or at least that was our plan
we’re working on it
perfect
i wish we had more shwag left so we could have a slope style or something
prototype wheels SICK AS FU*K
like no other
glad to hear they do need to come home with you though
im coring these f**kers on this trip
hey you should take this chat conversation and make it a blog post, steal some pictures from fb as well

(Blake)that was my plan I am just trying to get as much info as possible out of you
(Hugh)how many proto monsters are there?
in existence now
Chapman took a set to Aussie and we have 1 left here but bring your cores back so we can see how they did and then order more
F**ken eh i will
have you guys been doing a decent job of getting photos and video?
we are trying to work a deal with a production company here to get some footy for an eh team episode, we were racing all day so we only have gopro. this production company had 10 gopros and 9 good cameramen down the course ALL DAY and i have befriended them cause everyone here is awesome. i think their production is going to be pretty sick, and pretty much focused on the racing and therefore focused on dillon, who is now a national hero
rad
they want to hook up with us this week
sweet see if you can drag them out for a freeride
im gonna do more than that.
that would be slacking.
or set up a slopestyle
there is a crazy energy around this event cause it was the first
I know there won't be much for prizes but an event would still be cool especially if you and Dillon helped make it happen
yep. i have 6 blue mini monsters left (wheels not sets), that could be sick prize, its like half a months salary for someone who does my job here
whatever you can make happen
some of the local dudes are f**king insane. loco.
so you must fit in great
not really James Kelly is better at hitting on chicks here
you need to get all up in their faces and sh*t
be sure to get a good family portrait of you two and the family toy are staying with
dillons staying 40 minutes away from here
really? how is he doing on his first big trip away from home?
he has a bed with a bigscreen tv at the end of it and a maid who waits on him hand and foot
Really?
he got fed his first breakfast in bed ever yesterday
so awesome
she tried to feed him in bed the day before but he felt weird so he took it to the kitchen
was it like that before he won the race?
yep
people stuffing us everywhere, we are only near the surface we cant look deeper until we learn more espaniol and salsa dancing next year 1 month of Spanish lessons before this trip
yeah Spanish lessons are a wicked idea
peace dude. tell everyone there that we miss them super hardcore.
will do and travel safe.
and tell liam i wont be back until christmas would ya? dillon back sooner
can do. Be sure to send Dillon with all the photos and video
will do
take care and say hey to Dillon
will do

It's great to have you guys here and better that you liked it, hope to visit you in spring next year. One little thing though, remember it's Colombia, not Columbia....
